OnePlus 3 Smartphone to come with 6 GB of RAM & Snapdragon 820 CPU

The Chinese smartphone startup, OnePlus has gained much popularity within 2 years of its entry into the smartphone world. The company launched the OnePlus 2 smartphone last year, but it did not live upto the expectations of all the hype created. Now, the brand is said to working on its next offering the OnePlus 3 (A3000) and has been in the limelight ever since it was earlier spotted on AnTuTu and high-end specifications. The latest findings suggest that the upcoming OnePlus 3 flagship will be launched in two variants with model numbers A3000 and A3003.

The OnePlus 3 codenamed ‘Rain’ has recently appeared on the Geekbench and GFXBench listing revealing most of the important details about the upcoming flagship smartphone. As per the Geekbench listing, the OnePlus 3 codenamed “Rain Rain A3000” or “Rain A3003” will house Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and features 6GB of RAM. If this comes true, the OnePlus 3 will add to the list of very few smartphones that has massive 6GB of RAM. The rumors are also suggesting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will also come with 6GB of RAM.

OnePlus 3 Geekbench

The GFXBench listing of the OnePlus 3 (Rain A3000) shows that the smartphone will be a slightly toned down variant of the other model. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-HD display, but we can expect it to feature a 5.5-inch screen. It will also come powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device will run on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Oxygen OS overlaid.

Both the variants will come with 64GB of built-in storage while there is no information about the inclusion of a microSD card slot. The smartphones will feature 16MP primary camera with enhanced software features, 4K video recording support and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers. It will include connectivity options like 4G-LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. Other possibilities are a new design with the full-metal body, fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port. Will the OnePlus 3 live upto the expectations of the Flagship Killer? We will have to wait for the official announcement that can happen in the next couple of months. Stay tuned!
