BLU Dash M2 & X2 with Metal Body & Android 6.0 Launched in the U.S

The Miami-based handset maker, BLU is known for launching affordable and attractive smartphones in the US. The brand has today launched two new budget smartphones in its Dash series called as BLU Dash M2 & Dash X2 in the US. Both the smartphones look premium with all-metal unibody design and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Dash M2 and Dash X2 are the smartphones aimed at the entry-level users and are priced at $69.90 (approx Rs. 4,640) & $84.90 (approx Rs. 5,637) respectively.

The BLU Dash M2 comes with a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA TFT display and comes powered by MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali 400 GPU. It has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 64GB. The smartphone comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfie clicks. The handset powers a 2000mAh battery that is rated to last easily for an entire day on mixed usage. It measures 9.8 mm thickness weighs around 172 grams and comes in Gold and Grey color options.

The BLU Dash X2 features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display and comes equipped with same MediaTek MT6580 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable to 64GB via an externalSD card slot. It has an 8MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording support and a 5MP front shooter for selfie lovers. The device packs a 2200mAh battery that can easily take you through the day of moderate usage. The dimensions of the handset measure 145 x 73.14 x 9.7 mm weighs 174 grams and is available in Grey, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.

Both the smartphones support dual sim dual standby that works with AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCs and other GSM networks in the USA. The devices come with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphones lack 4G-LTE support and could turn out to be the major drawback as most of the companies are trying to offer 4G-LTE support in their handsets.  The BLU Dash M2 & Dash X2 are available for purchase in the US via Amazon, and there is no information about the launch of the smartphones in other markets.
