ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini with 16MP Camera & 3GB RAM Launched in China

As announced earlier, ZTE has officially launched its latest smartphone Nubia Z11 Mini in the high-end Nubia series. We expected the company to launch the Nubia Z11 at the CES  held in early January this year, but the company announced the ‘Nubia.com’ website for reaching selling Nubia branded devices in the western markets. While the Z Mini is launched today, even more, powerful Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max can be launched in the next couple of months.

Talking about the Z11 mini, it sports a 2.5D 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 3rd Gen Gorilla Glass protection on top. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto GB via MicroSD card slot. It still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Nubia 3.9.6 UI overlaid.

It sports a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture; the sapphire glass lens can withstand any scratches. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and 80-degree wide angle lens. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers both TD and FDD-LTE. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS/GLONASS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port.

The device is backed by a 2,800mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. It supports Dolby surround sound for better audio experience. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of the device can also be used for virtual payments. It comes in White, Black, and Gold color options. Apart from the glossy back panel, the Z11 Mini also comes in wooden back cover as shown on their official website.

It measures 141.4 x 70 x 8 mm and weighs just 138 grams. The device is priced at 1499 Yuan and is available for the registration starting today for the first sale which will be held on April 25th. Stay tuned for more updates on the other two handsets Nubia Z11 and Z11 Max.
