Google had officially announced the latest Nexus smartphones Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X in September 2015. Even the next set of Nexus devices which are rumored to be manufactured by HTC are leaked with little information. Earlier Huawei made Nexus 6P was launched as a special edition in Gold color and with 128GB storage. Now a new variant of Nexus 6P was spotted on Geekbench with few upgraded specifications.
The device runs on the upcoming Android N and in the motherboard section it was mentioned as Marlin. In the earlier article about the upcoming devices, we came to know that the Nexus M1 to be codenamed as Marlin. We aren’t sure; there will be another variant of Nexus 6P, but we guess these are specifications of the upcoming Nexus device.
It is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 1.59GHz coupled wth Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Talking bout the performance, it has scored 2162 points in single core and 4956 in multi core test. Since Marlin is the codename for one of the upcoming Nexus smartphones, Google might be testing the Nexus 6P with latest specifications installed in it.
Last year’s Nexus 6P came with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor. It came with 3GB of RAM and is made available in different storage options. The Nexus 6P along with Nexus 5X are first time device to run with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It is backed by a 3,450mAh battery which also supports Quick Charging.
It features a 12.3MP rear camera that can record videos in 4K and slow motion. For selfies, there is an 8MP sensor on the front with f/2.4 aperture. Unlike the plastic built Nexus 5x, the Nexus 6P came with a metal body with a glass strip on the back that holds the rear camera along with LED flash. Stay tuned for more updates!
