Honor V8 with Dual Rear Cameras Confirmed to Launch on May 10th
Huawei has recently launched its flagship Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus with dual rear camera setup. Even LG also offered the same dual cameras with its latest flagship LG G5. While we are seeing many smartphone brands offering this features starting from 2015, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had launched the Honor 6 Plus with dual rear cameras in 2014.
Now in 2016, Honor is all set to launch its second smartphone with dual rear camera setup. The company had posted on their official website mentioning the launch date of a new device called Honor V8 as May 10th, 2016. While we are expecting the company to launch Honor 8 as the successor for 2015 launched Honor 7, this new Honor V8 might replace the Honor 8.
From the teaser image, we can guess the smartphone to feature dual rear cameras. Few rumors suggest that the device will feature the same dual 12MP cameras as seen on Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, but without Leica lens. The might be backed by the in-house Kirin 950 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM. There will be a fingerprint sensor that can be used for making payments.
Even before to the Honor V8, the company will launch the entry-level Honor 5C that will be the direct successor for the Honor 4C. The device is said to be powered by the all new Kirin 650 SoC. It features a 5.2-inch 1080p display coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, we also expect one more variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It runs on Andriod 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The Honor 5C will be officially launched on April 28th while the Honor V8 will be unveiled on April 10th in China. As seen with the earlier launches, both the devices are expected to be made available in other Asian countries including India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Stay tuned for more updates!
