Moto X 2014 Wooden Back

There are quite a few leaks about the upcoming Moto X from Lenovo from the last couple of months. Now the device with the model number XT1650 which is expected to be the Moto X 2016 is spotted on Geekbench. Now the company sent out the press invites for the launch of an unknown Moto device on 17th May in New Delhi, India. As seen with the recent leaks, Lenovo might launch the Moto G4 (a.k.a Moto G 4th Gen) & Moto G4 Plus.

Talking about the Moto X 2016, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It comes powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 1.59GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU. The device sports 4GB of RAM, which is made essential for a 2016 flagship device. Apart from the processor and RAM information, there are no other details known about the device. Few rumors suggest June 9th as the launch date for the Moto X 2016.

As confirmed by Lenovo, the Moto X 2016 along with other Moto devices launching 2016 will feature a fingerprint sensor. While the Moto G4 is leaked to sport fingerprint sensor built into the physical home button, Moto X 2016 might feature it on the rear side. The Zauba listing shows the device to feature a 5-inch display, but we aren’t sure about that. It might also replace the MicroUSB 2.0 port with the USB Type-C port for faster data transfer speeds.

The device had scored 2309 in single-core and 5344 in multi-core Geekbench tests. We can expect the even more details about the Moto X 2016 in coming days. So stay tuned for the official launch details and complete specifications of the device.
