After announcing the flagship LG G5, LG launched the K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphones in India last week. Though LG G5 isn’t made available in most of the countries, LG is coming up with their new mid-range devices. The 5.7-inch LG Stylus 2, the successor for the LG G4 Stylus is made available last month in South Korea. Now LG launched a new smartphone called LG L5000 (F590) which is once again exclusive to its home country.
Now LG launched a new smartphone called LG L5000 (F590) which is once again exclusive to its home country. The LG G5 came with a new design where the volume rockers are shifted from the back of the device to the side edge, but the LG L5000 continues the same design language as their earlier design and looks similar to the LG G3 that was launched in 2014.
The volume rocker along with circular power button are placed on the rear of the device. It features a 5.9-inch display which is limited to just HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by the in-house Nuclun LG GH14 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 2GB of RAM. The LG G3 is the first device to feature the LG’s Nuclun processor and unlike Samsung, LG hasn’t used their own processor.
But few rumors suggests that LG is investing more into the Chipset business, and we can see few more upcoming smartphones to use Nuclun processors. Talking about the device, it has 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized UX UI laid on top. There is a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus, OIS+, and LED flash; and a 2.1MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The device is backed by a removable 3,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver 22 hours talk time and lasts upto 385 hours on standby. It measures 157.8 x 81.8 x 9.45 mm and weighs 182 grams. The built-in DMB-TV tuner provides live TV streaming which can be found in most South Korean smartphones. It has 1W speaker amplifier which provides rich sound experience.
As of now there is no information about the availability of the device outside of the South Korea. Stay tuned for more updates!
