Download Latest Software
We all know that Honor 6 packed with the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor and comes with KitKat and Lollipop version of Android. Another thing to note is, the manufacturers will release the software updates via OTA, which contains several fixes for the bugs and also the enhancements for improving the performance of the phone. So, the users need to check and download the latest available software for their device.
Open settings and tap on ‘About phone’ to find any software updates are available. If you find any such update, download and install it using the WiFi as the file size will be large. Once done with the upgrade, the issues with the performance will be resolved, and you can experience better functionality on the phone.
Uninstall Pre-installed Apps
Almost all the Android devices will be out in the market with the pre-installed apps. So, if you wish to increase the performance of the phone then avoid using the widgets or reduce the widgets number to one or two.
Another important factor to consider is using the Live Wallpapers because this will consume the most of your processor. Remove App Cache and Wipe Cache Partition
Every Android users need to know about clearing the app cache at regular intervals of time. So, go and open each app from the ‘App Manager’ in your device and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ so as to remove the cache of the apps.
You can also clear the cache of the device by turning on your device into the recovery mode. This can be done by holding the power and volume Up button simultaneously at the same time. Now, you are in recovery mode, and you can use the volume buttons for navigation and to confirm the selection you have to use the power button. So, select and confirm the ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ and after the process is done, go with ‘Reboot system Now,’ which will make your phone to restart. That’s all; your device will be cleaned now with an increase in performance.
Factory Reset
If your device is running extremely slow, then you can perform the factory reset on the device so as to make it run faster. But this process will erase all the data from the phone and so you need to take the back up of data. Once you are done with the backup, then get your phone into recovery mode as explained above. Now, select and confirm ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and once the process is done, select and confirm the ‘Reboot system Now’ option and you will have a fresh device in your hand.
The factory reset can also be done using the settings of your phone. All you need to do is, open ‘Settings>Backup & Reset>Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone>Erase everything’ and that’s all; your phone gets rebooted after the completion of the process, and you can start using the device from the beginning.
Few Additional Tips
There are few other precautions which when followed can boost up your device performance. Always remember to disable the WiFi and Bluetooth connections when not in use and try to adjust the screen brightness and rotation manually instead of auto-settings. Never over-load the processor by opening various apps and features at a time as it may hang the phone. Use original chargers for charging the device otherwise you may have to face the battery-draining issue.
