Ivvi i3 with Snapdragon 430 SoC & 4GB RAM Launched in China

Ivvi, the sub-brand of Coolpad has unveiled a new smartphone called as Ivvi i3. But by measuring just 4.2mm thickness at the edges, the Ivvi i3 stands out from the other bar-shaped smartphones. Last year the company had launched the Ivvi K1 Mini as the world’s slimmest smartphone measuring just 4.7mm thickness. It is 0.5mm slimmer than the Vivo X5 Max which was previously touted as the slimmest smartphone in the world.

Earlier today we had exclusively reported about the upcoming LeEco Le 2 that is said to skip the 3.5 mm audio port even though it measures 7.7 mm thickness. The device comes with a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with a 2.5D glass laid on top. Under the hood, the Ivvi i3 is powered by the all new Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz.

It has 4GB of RAM and will be available 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion upto 128GB. It has a 13MP rear camera wth LED flash and PDAF for faster focusing. For selfie lovers, the Ivvi i3 comes with an 8MP front camera. The device is kept powered on by a 2,450mAh battery that supports fast charging.

The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device can unlock in just 0.1 seconds. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with customized Ivvi UI 2.0 on top. The device supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot. The device measures 5.9mm thickness at the centre and just 4.2mm thickness at the edges.

The 32GB variant of Ivvi i3 is priced at is priced at 2,299 Yuan (approx $355 / Rs. 23,600), while the 64GB and 128GB variants cost 2,499 Yuan (approx $386 / Rs. 25,900) and 2,799 Yuan (approx $432 / Rs. 28,700) respectively. Currently, the device is available for registration and the sale starts from April 19th in China.

Till date, the company is just limited to the Chinese market, but now it has announced to enter other markets starting from Southeast Asia. Stay tuned for more updates!
