Oppo India has recently launched a new smartphone, i.e., Oppo F1 Plus, which is the successor of Oppo F1 Priced at Rs 26,990. The device comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 128 GB using an external Micro SD card slot. It is powered by MediteK MT6755 Helio P10 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz coupled with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. The device sports a 16 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. The device is available in two variants of colors, i.e., Gold and Rose Gold. How to insert the SIM card on your device?

SIM card insertion is the very first thing that any user does if they want to use any smartphone. To insert a SIM card on your device push the SIM card pin on the hole adjacent to tray and place the SIM cards in the respective slots. Now push back the tray and power on your device. You have successfully inserted the SIM card on your device, and it will be ready for use in less than ten mins.

What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

Oppo F1 Plus is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby. The SIM card supported by the device is a Nano-SIM card. The device also comes with a Hybrid SIM card slot where you can either insert the SIM or insert a Micro SD card slot to expand the storage to 128 GB. `

How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

Sharing of the data network on the device can be done using the Tethering mode on your device. To share the Data Network on Your Oppo F1 Plus, Open the settings and tap on Other Wireless Connection. In the new window tap on Personal Hotspot and toggle the off button to enable that on your device.

How to take a Screenshot on my Oppo F1 Plus?

There are two ways in which you can capture the screenshot on your Oppo F1Plus.

Method 1: You need to press the power button along with the volume down button to capture the screenshot on your device.

Method 2: This is the gesture method of capturing a screenshot where you need to swipe two fingers from top to bottom to capture screenshot on your device. This can only be done once the gesture method is enabled on your device.

In the both the methods the captured screenshot is saved to the gallery on your device and can be quickly accessed from the notification panel immediately after the capture.

How to check for the Android Updates on the device?

Android Updates help in fixing the bugs on your device and help in improving the performance of your smartphone. To check for Android Updates on your device, open the Settings and tap on System Updates under the About Phone Option. In the new window, click on check for Updates, the device checks for Updates and if there no new Update then a message stating your device is Up to Date is displayed on your screen.

How to Install external apps with apk files on the device?

External Apps can be installed by enabling the Unknown Sources option on your device. To install an external app with apk, open the settings and tap on Safety and Privacy. In the new window, head over to the device administration section and toggle the button adjacent to Allow installation of applications from Unknown Sources to enable that on your device. Now you can install any app with an external apk on your device.

How to customize the Quick Settings in the Notification Panel?

The quick settings in the notification panel cannot be customized on this device.

How to use the Power saving modes on the Oppo F1 Plus?

Power saving mode is used to enhance the battery life of your device during the low battery conditions. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Battery. In the new window, toggle the off button adjacent to Low Power Mode to enable that on your device.

What are the sensors available on the phone?

Acceeleration and Proximity are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device.

Are there LED notification lights on the device?

How to use the Screen pinning feature on the Oppo F1 Plus?

Screen Pinning is available on the devices with Android Lollipop on it. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on safety & privacy. In the new window, head over to the bottom of the screen and tap on Screen Pinning and further toggle the off button in the new window, to enable that on your device. Now open the recent window and tap on the pin button for the app that you want to pin on your home screen.

The device comes with basic tools, all the google related apps and few bloatwares pre-installed on your device.

Can I Move apps from phone storage to SD card on this device?

There is no such option available on the device using which you can move apps from internal to external SD card on your device.

What are the bloatware applications on the device?

KingSoft office is the only bloatware application availale on your device.

Can I remove the bloatware apps from the device?

No, the bloatware application cannot be removed from your device. It can be disabled if you don’t want to use that on your device.

How much the internal storage on the Oppo F1 Plus?

The device comes with 64 GB as its internal stoarge and around 48.38 GB of internal space is available for the end user.

How much free RAM is available on the device if no apps are running?

The device comes with 4 GB of RAM, and around 2.72 GB of Free RAM is available when no apps are running on the device.

Does the device support OTG?

Yes, the device does support the USB OTG, but the option must be enabled on your device if you want to use that on your device. Enabling this option on your device helps in easy transferring of data from the device to drive and vice-versa.

What is the SAR Value of the device?

The radio wave exposure guidelines employ a unit of measurement known as Specific Absorption Rate(SAR). The SAR limit recommended by the International commission on non-ionizing radiation protection is 2 W/Kg averaged over 10g tissue. The SAR value of the device is yet to be known and will be updated once we get the retail unit of the device.

Will the Oppo F1 Plus get Android Marshmallow 6.0 Update?

The device comes with the Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. There is no information about the device getting the Android M Update, but the brand has mentioned that they are working on the Android M Update for the Oppo devices but which Models will get the Update is not yet confirmed. How to enable the Battery percentage on your device?

To enable the percentage indicator on your status bar adjacent to the battery icon, open the settings and tap on Notification on Status Bar. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to battery percentage to enable that on your device. Now you can see the battery % indicator to the left side of the battery icon on the staus bar on your device.

What is Quiet Time and how to use that on your device?

Quite Time option is used to mute each and every application and notification on your device without any vibration or indication. This can be either enabled manually, or you can set a period where it will be enabled and disabled automatically. Each and every notification gets muted except the Alarm and Countdown time. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Quite Time. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to enable manually to enable this on your device. If you use the Enable Automatically, then you need to enter the Start Time and End Time. The notifications for incoming calls, SMS and app notification, must be enabled in the same window if you want to get any additional notification.

How to Add a Finger Print on your device?

To Add a Fingerprint on your Oppo F1 Plus smartphone, open the settings and tap on fingerprint and password in the new window, you need to click on add a fingerprint and further you need to place your finger over the sensor to add fingerprint. Once the fingerprint is added, you need to add security password which may be either a pattern, pin or password. The fingerprint is successfully enabled on your device.

What are the screen-off gestures available on your device?

The screen-off gestures are used to open the application directly from the black screen when your device is locked. To enable the options on your device, open the Settings and tap on Gesture & Motion. In the new window, tap on screen-off gestures and toggle the button to enable that on your device. The screen-off gestures include a double tap on wake-up, Draw O to start Camera, Draw V to turn on the torch light. You can also add the custom screen-off gestures by tapping on Add a Screen-off gesture.

What are the quick gestures available on the device?

The device comes with few quick gestures, i.e., Gesture Screenshot and Single Handed Operation. To use these on your device, open the Settings and tap on Gesture and Motion. In the new window, tap on Quick gesture, now toggle the off button to enable these options on your device.

The screenshot shot can be captured just by swiping three fingers from up to down on your screen. The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery on your device.

One Handed-Mode: One handed Mode is used to operate the device using a single hand by reducing the screen size on your device, to use this on your device, you need to swiple from the bottom left or right corner towards the center of your screen. To exit you can either tap on the exit button or can tap on any of the open space adjacent to the One-Handed screen.

What are the Smart Call options available on the device?

The device comes with four smart call options, i.e., Easy Dial, Auto-answer by motion (Both the options work when you keep your phone directly near your ear), Switch the speaker by motion and Flip to Mute. To use these options on your device, open the Settings and tap on security. In the new window, tap on Gesture & Motions and click on Smart Call. Further, toggle the button adjacent to each of the options to use them on your device.

What is Simple Mode and how to use that on your device?

Simple Mode is same as that of the easy mode available on the Samsung Smartphones. In this mode, the text and the icon size is enlarged, and the device comes with a limited number of options on your home screen, i.e., Photos, Favorites Contacts, Emergency calls, Phone, and Message. To use this on your device, open the setting and tap on simple mode option which is at the bottom of the screen. Simple mode is successfully activated on your device and vice-versa to disable this on your device.
