Panasonic Eluga Arc with 4.7-inch 720p Display & Snapdragon 410 Chipset Launched in India

Expanding its smartphone line-up, Panasonic at an event hosted in New Delhi launched its latest Eluga handset, the Eluga Arc, in India today. It is said to be the first 2.5D curved display smartphone from the company. The Japanese manufacturer has identified a need of compact smartphones in the country and thus offering a power packed mid-range handset that comes with the 4.7-inch 720p display.

The Eluga Arc is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which is a Quad-core chipset clocking at 1.2GHz. It has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD card slot. It would be running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with company’s custom UI over the top.

The camera specifications include an 8-megapixel rear module with f/2.0 aperture, LED Flash support and a 5-megapixel front module for selfies. The device is fueled by an 1800mAh capacity battery with a support of Qualcomm’s fast charging, i.e. Quick Charge. In terms of the connectivity options, it has a IR Blaster, 4G VoLTE support, dual SIM capability and other standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB port.

The device would be available in only gold color at all leading online and offline stores, so it’s not exclusive to any retailer, which would allow the company to reach to masses. It priced at a Rs 12, 490, thus making it one of the costliest mid-range handset when the specifications are considered.
