Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) & J7 (2016) Support Pages Spotted on Samsung India’s Website
Samsung’s latest mid-range smartphones Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) are officially launched in China at the end of last month. Now we had exclusively found the support pages of both the devices on the Samsung India’s official website which hints us the launch to be happened soon. The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with the model number SM-J510FZDUINS while the J7 (2016) is listed with the model number SM-J710FZDUINS.
Though there is no other information mentioned on the Indian website, we already have the complete specifications of the device from the China launch of the devices. Talking about the Galaxy J5 (2016), it features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor. There is 3GB of RAM and while the internal storage is 16GB same as J5 2016. Both the devices come with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion along with dual SIM card slots.
On the camera front, the devices feature a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus and LED flash. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture and front facing LED flash. The Galaxy J5 (2016) is backed by a 3,100mAh battery while the J7 (2016) comes with a slightly larger 3,300mAh battery. Based on the information from support pages, we expect the Indian variants to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
From the Zauba listing, we clearly see the parts of both the device being imported. Like the recent Samsung device, the upcoming Galaxy J5 (2016) & J7 (2016) will be assembled in India and might feature the ‘Made in India’ logo. We expect the devices to be launched in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for the official pricing and the availability of the both the devices.
