Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge update fixes Camera Issues, New Edge Panel & more

Samsung has started to roll out a quick update to its flagship handset, the Galaxy S7 Edge, which fixes camera issues, add new edge panels and many more things. The latest OTA (Over-the-Air) from the South Korean giant is being rolled out to S7 Edge users around the world, where the device is available for purchase. The update size varies, in India its 164.97MB. If you have a Galaxy S7 Edge, we recommend checking manually on your handset if it hasn’t popped up yet.

Even with such small size, the company has packed in a lot of improvement, the brand isn’t known for frequent updates, but with feedback from consumers, they had to roll out this update as quick as possible. The camera improvements that you’ll see includes fixes like correction of minor distortion in wide-angle characteristics, as well as fixing of oversaturation of yellow in low-light captures.

The edge panel features that are new; CNN News, which is for selected regions like US< Canada, Australia, Singapore, India, South Africa and the Philippines. As well as touch-scrolling issues has been resolved, which was reported by many users. Earlier, there were some issue such as reconnecting to network and unscheduled rebooting, according to the change-log posted by the company, they have also been resolved. Few other fixes that are corrected includes data connection failures for running apps, while Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, both connected at the same time. The music player streaming was being interrupted via browsing through social media apps as been fixed too. The compass app was unusually using a lot of power while running in the background, it has been resolved now. Note that the battery percentage on your device should be more than 50% to go through this procedure of downloading and installation of the software update.
